Families will join in the magical journey of this remarkable instrument and answer questions like: “Why was the Violin invented? Where did it come from? Are some violins played today really hundreds of years old?” With a truly special guest – 11-year old star violinist Kaia Seldon – plus Classical Tahoe soloists and dramatic music played by the full Classical Tahoe Orchestra, families will fly through history with toes tapping and hearts bounding.
This free family concert is underwritten in honor of all beginning violin students everywhere from 3 to 93 who play just for the joy of creating camaraderie through music.
Tonight’s performance is part of the 21st Artown Festival, held annually July 1 – 31.
Repertoire and Guest Artists subject to change.
