program description

A high-octane Vivaldi concerto – with solo bassoon – is the springboard for this weekend’s performances, followed by Mozart’s love letter to the sensual oboe as it joins strings in a splendid quartet.

Next, the unusual sonorities of clarinet, viola, and piano combine to weave a score that was a father’s gift to a talented son. The embracing sounds of solo piano bring the next soundscape filled with color and emotion, and the concert finishes with an extraordinarily popular French septet that features an unexpected assortment of Classical Tahoe musicians.
