Jonathan Darlington, conductor
Jonathan Darlington has held the position of Music Director Emeritus at Vancouver Opera since 2018 after almost 20 years as Music Director. Fluent in several languages, he was born and educated in England and now resides in Paris. Jonathan has conducted many world-class ensembles and was recently named Chief Conductor of the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra. A Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music and a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres, Jonathan has a reputation for structuring concert programs that take the listener on a fascinating musical journey. The 2022-23 season includes a second appearance at Classical Tahoe, and appearances at Leipzig Oper, Hamburg Staatsoper, and with the Orchestra of the 18th Century in Amsterdam and Paris.
