About This Concert

In partnership with the School of Music, College of Liberal Arts, University of Nevada, Reno, Classical Tahoe’s Chamber Connections is an immersive residency for music students from the University of Nevada, Reno designed to elevate performance through direct collaboration with Classical Tahoe’s world-class musicians. Over the course of six days and five nights, students attend festival concerts, engage in masterclasses, and rehearse side by side with professional musicians. A highlight of the residency is a side by side performance on July 28 between participating music students from the School of Music, College of Liberal Arts, University of Nevada, Reno and Classical Tahoe musicians performed in the mini pavilion on the great lawn University of Nevada, Reno at Lake Tahoe. It’s free and open to all members of the public.

Chamber Connections is made possible through the thoughtful support of Lin Nelson as a reflection of her passion for music and music education. Support is also provided by Whittier Trust, Thelma B. and Thomas P. Hart Foundation, and The Nell J. Redfield Foundation which generously provides student scholarships to ensure that all qualified students have access to the program.
