Karen Hovorka is a Consulting Director in the Talent Acquisition Advisory practice at Korn Ferry Futurestep where she delivers strategic and operational excellence consulting services to her clients. Outside of her professional career, she is an active volunteer in the nonprofit sector, with over 16 years of service as a Board member for various nonprofit organizations in both San Francisco and Incline Village.

This year marks Karen’s second year on the Classical Tahoe Board of Directors, and third year as a volunteer with the organization. A life-long classical music fan, Karen is thrilled to support Classical Tahoe’s world-class annual festival right here in Incline Village. She is pleased to welcome musicians from the best orchestras in the world and knows our audiences are incredibly lucky to experience their magical talents in such an intimate setting!

As in 2016, Karen is heading up the production of this year’s Family Concert, “All About the Violin”, on Sunday, July 30. This free concert is open to children of all ages, and features Kaia Selden, an 11 year old violinist who is taking on the world of young, talented violinists by storm! She’s amazing, don’t miss it!

East Coasters by birth, West Coasters by choice, Karen and her husband moved to Incline Village from the San Francisco Bay Area in 2004 and have decided they are never leaving Tahoe. They and their young daughter ski, boat, hike, snowshoe, and are always amazed by the beauty of our stunning lake and mountains.

If you haven’t yet experienced a Classical Tahoe performance, make 2017 your year and join us!
