Madylon Meiling, Ph.D., is the Chief Executive Officer of CHEMEON Surface Technology, a global leader in providing environmentally responsible replacements for hexavalent chrome and other toxic chemical compounds, and developing advanced corrosion protection for light metals, committed to research, development, customer service and solutions. Dr. Meiling transformed CHEMEON from the ashes of an insolvent past (Metalast International LLC) to profitability and success.
Prior to CHEMEON, Dr. Meiling was VP Development at Sierra Nevada College, and her leadership included the creation of a foreign exchange sponsorship program for 35 students from Italy whose University was destroyed by earthquakes in 2009. This global humanitarian project was recognized by Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during the 2010 National Italian American Foundation Gala in Washington DC.
Madylon received her B.A. in education from Brooklyn College, her M.Ed. from Rhode Island College, and her Ph.D. from the University of Tulsa. Madylon has twenty-five years of experience in the field of education, including teaching, administration, facilitation, curriculum development, and research. Dr. Meiling completed postdoctoral studies in group dynamics and is qualified as a corporate coach by the International Coach Federation. Madylon is also certified in mediation and conflict resolution for civil and family matters.
Madylon is committed to giving back to her community. She is the founder and former Board Chair for Classical Tahoe, Board Chair for Pet Network Humane Society, and actively supports other non-profit organizations including Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation, Incline Village Hospital Foundation, Sierra Nevada College, Thunderbird Lodge Preservation Society, and the Nevada Museum of Art.
Madylon is married and lives with her husband Dean Meiling at Lake Tahoe. Their daughter Tracey, a professional dancer and choreographer, owns and teaches classes at The Stage in Las Vegas. Their son Scott, a gourmet chef, owns and manages Beechwood Manor Inn in Saugatuck, MI. Madylon loves outdoor activities, particularly hiking, boating, snorkeling, and golf; and living in the natural, inspiring, entrepreneurial community of Lake Tahoe.
