Master Musician Workshop
This is an incredible opportunity for local students to experience a special teaching session with a professional musician from the Classical Tahoe Orchestra in a one-on-one setting. For 2019, this opportunity will be open to RPYSO members or any advanced musician of high school age. Each individual session is 30 minutes.
The schedule is to be determined based on the student’s and musician’s mutual availability. The sessions will take place in Incline Village, on the Sierra Nevada College Campus located at 291 Country Club Drive.
In order to participate, you must be a high-school student and must complete the registration form below. Participants will be chosen based on availability.
There is no cost to participate in this program.
Working with a professional performing musician is very exciting. Everyone learns something together! Master musicians may make the same observations as your teacher does, but describe them so you experience things in a new way. They have lots of wonderful tips and techniques to share and their love of music-making is contagious. If you want to feel more confident playing your instrument, this opportunity is for you!
Letters of interest and availability are due by June 7.
We gratefully acknowledge the M.E.G Memorial Fund for Creative Arts for assisting Classical Tahoe in establishing these teaching and learning opportunities.
We’re delighted to make this opportunity available to the outstanding Reno Philharmonic Youth Orchestra musicians.
