"Inside Look" Open Rehearsal & Lunch Discussion

Have you ever wanted to know more about a piece of music in the Classical Tahoe season? Or what the life of a Guest Artist is like? Or how the busy professional orchestra musicians balance work and life?  Join us for an Inside Look!

These questions – and any others you may have – can be explored in an informal setting on Thursdays on the campus of the Classical Tahoe Pavilion during the 2018 season. Open to the Tahoe public, attendees are invited to listen to a portion of the Thursday morning orchestra rehearsals, bring their own bag lunch, and enjoy an hour of conversation after the rehearsal. Occurring each Thursday of the concert series (July 26, August 2, and August 8) these drop-in events are hosted by Cindy Rhys (program annotator) and include special guests such as Maestro Revzen, Orchestra Librarian Robert Willoughby-Jones, Production manager Stephanie McMullin, and selected orchestra members.  Come join in the exploration! We look forward to seeing you.

Classical Tahoe gratefully acknowledges the generous challenge grant of the Firefly Scientists’ Foundation, assisting Classical Tahoe in fulfilling its mission to inspire active participation in the arts and foster community engagement and enrichment through a multi-generational Music Institute.  This challenge grant and the generosity of donors enables Classical Tahoe to present classes, concerts and outreach events specifically tailored to encourage music engagement of all ages and at all abilities.

For more information on how to participate through your donation, please see Firefly Scientists’ Foundation Challenge Grant.
