Imagine… a string quartet surprising you with pop-up performances where you least expect them, music concerts tailored to kids, families enjoying favorite movie musicals together in the Pavilion, amateur singers joining together to sing familiar tunes, bag-lunch discussions after a rehearsal, jazz great Chris Brubeck coaching local area jazz students… and the list goes on.
Classical Tahoe is excited to announce a generous challenge grant from Missouri-based Firefly Scientists’ Foundation, which will assist Classical Tahoe in fulfilling its mission to inspire active participation in the arts and foster community engagement through this challenge grant and its donations, Classical Tahoe will be able to present classes, concerts and outreach events specifically tailored to encourage music engagement for all ages and abilities.

The young musicians initiative is tailored towards inspiring and educating young artist in the Truckee, Tahoe, Reno, and Carson region. By providing exceptional learning opportunities to work closely with some of today’s top musicians our mission is to inspire the future generations of musical talent—from beginners to emerging professionals.
Classical Tahoe is proud to partner with Tahoe area educators, music professionals, and organizations to expand the experience of music for people in the Tahoe region. In classes and events during the festival season – July 20 to August 12th – the Classical Tahoe Pavilion on the grounds of Sierra Nevada College will be alive with the sounds of many generations enjoying and making music together with the guidance of premier area educators and guest artists.
